We shoot the second Saturday of each month, April through October. Sign in from 8:00 am to 9:30am. Mandatory safety meeting is at 9:45 a.m. Shooting starts at 10:00 a.m. Coffee, cold drinks are available. Shooters are encouraged to bring snacks to eat betwen stages. There is longer a break for lunch, and lunch is not provided.
Shoots are open to the public, and membership in (SASS) or Logan’s Ferry Sportsmen’s Club (LFSC) are not required.
New shooters and spectators are always welcome. Please arrive before 10:00 a.m. No cost to watch, and cowboys like to talk about shooting just as much as they like to shoot. Ear and eye protection are required on the ranges.
Logan's Ferry Regulators has started using the PractiScore app to manage scores. Shooters can create a PractiScore account by using this link; Practiscore | PractiScore. Just type PractiScore into a Google search if the link above isn't working. The register option will be in the top right corner of the screen.
There are two ways to search for Logan's Ferry shoots.
1. Click the Clubs tab at the top of the screen, then enter Logans Ferry into the search window. The map will zoom into the club's location. Click the blue dot and you be taken to the club's dashboard. Scroll down and you see the active matches.
2. Click the Matches tab at the top of the screen, or the Find A Match button. Search for Logans Ferry Regulators then scroll down and click on register.
Shooters will still have the option of creating an account and registering at the day of the shoot.
Cowboy Action Shooting is a multi-faceted shooting sport in which contestants compete with firearms typical of those used in the taming of the Old West: single action revolvers, pistol caliber lever action rifles, and old time shotguns. The shooting competition is staged in a unique, characterized, "Old West" style. It is a timed sport in which shooters compete for prestige on a course of different shooting stages.
Logans Ferry Sportsmen's Club, and the Cowboy Action Shooting (CAS) program (Logans Ferry Regulators) are affiliated with the Single Action Shooting Society, which is an international organization created to preserve and promote the sport of Cowboy Action Shooting.
New shooters are welcome; however, you should be familiar with shooting pistols, rifles, and shotguns. You should also be familiar with the basic Cowboy Action shooting and safety rules found in the SASS Shooters Handbook. We will help you with everything else!
